The bark with the smallest fraction, thanks to which it provides optimal coverage of the mulched surface, supports the soil, improves soil structure, increases water permeability, protects the plant roots from frost. We can also use it as a foundation for mulching with larger pine bark fractions. Also suitable as an additive for preparing substrates.
20mm-60mm fraction (medium)
This is the most universal bark fraction. Perfectly covers mulched surface, maintains humidity and protects against temperature changes. This type of bark is suitable for mulching all types of plants, it is an ideal material for mulching perennials. The thickness of the layer to be used for mulching is 5-7cm, supplement every year with a thickness of 1cm because the bark decomposes, thus enriching the soil with humus.
Fraction 60mm-100mm (thick)
Pine bark with a thick fraction is best suited for mulching large plants such as conifers and ornamental shrubs. When mulching bark with a thicker fraction, remember to pour out a sufficiently thick layer to ensure good suppression of the ground before weeds grow. By its appearance it will very well fulfill the decorative function in your garden.
